Lavender hydrosol is created in the same process as Lavender Essential Oil. Fresh-picked lavender spikes are placed in an essential oil still. Steam travels through the lavender plant material and condences. The resulting liquid contains both oil and hydrosol. Both products quickly separate and are stored separately. The hydrosol has many charachteristics of the lavender but is not as intense as the oil.
